Bootstrap5 Lite does not include SASS scss files which is a drawback. I am wondering if it will be necessary to create a new full theme using the Bootstrap 5 resources?
@izmeez, you can file an issue here https://github.com/backdrop-contrib/bootstrap5_lite. I think that this theme can be extended with full SASS setup
